How to Request Your Fingerprint Appointment
Follow these simple steps, or contact us directly on WhatsApp if you need help.
Select Province
Choose the province where you want the appointment (Barcelona, Madrid, Alicante…).
Select Procedure
Choose "Fingerprints (Toma de Huellas)" – first time or renewal.
Choose Office (optional)
If you know the office (e.g. Rambla in Barcelona), tell us. If not, we select the best available.
Add Your Personal Details
Name, NIE/passport, year of birth, nationality, phone and email. Then submit, or message us on WhatsApp.

When Can You Do the Fingerprinting?
Important timing rules for first-time applications and renewals.
🕐 Before Your Card Expires
You can usually request a fingerprint appointment a few months before your current card expires. The exact window depends on the province and office.
We recommend starting the search 2–3 months before expiry to avoid last-minute stress.
🕐 After Expiry
Even after expiry, many provinces still allow fingerprint appointments, but availability can be lower and some offices apply stricter rules.
Contact us as soon as possible so we can check current availability in your province.
Documents and Fees for Fingerprinting

💶 Official Fees
In addition to our service fee, the Administration charges the official 790-012 fee for the card. It is paid before the appointment, at a partner bank or online.
The exact amount depends on the card type. We tell you which form applies to you when booking the appointment.
Two separate payments: the official fee and our service fee
This is the most common confusion. The 790-012 fee is charged by the Spanish Administration for the card itself; our fee is only for finding and managing the appointment. We do not include it and we never collect it.
You pay it to the Administration
- The amount is set by the Administration and depends on the card type.
- You fill in the form on the official portal and pay at a bank or online.
- It must be paid before the appointment, with the receipt printed.
- Citapre does not charge, receive or refund this fee. We tell you which form applies to you.
Only for getting the appointment
- 59€ standard or 99€ premium, depending on the plan you choose.
- You pay once your appointment is confirmed, never before.
- It covers the search, the booking and the WhatsApp notification.
- It does not include the 790-012 fee or any official amount.
Example: with the standard plan you pay 59€ to Citapre for the appointment and, separately, the fee for your card to the Administration. Citapre is a private service and is not an official website.
Confirmations from appointments we have obtained
Real documents from appointments we booked, with the holder’s details covered. The procedure, date, time and office are the ones printed on the confirmation. Availability depends on the administration: we do not promise specific dates.
